As the temperatures steadily rose and the need to soothe frazzled nerves increased, TIS set aside a day for casual picnic in February 2012. Knowing that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, students were taken on amusement park trips to Hokair Land(lower grades), Star City (higher grades) and Riyadh Gallery Oceanica(KG).
Field trips are not only an integral part of an educat...ional system butalso a highlight of the school year for every kid. Upon leaving the sheltered environment of a classroom, students learnt to interact and socialize more, whether it was with other kids, teachers, workerscontrolling the rides, the men selling toys or even the sweepers who requested the kids not to litter the place.
While some students could be seen enjoying the pleasant weather in boat rides or bumper cars, other daring kids preferred the giant Columbus or rides that rolled their insides, out.The trips served as a great stress buster for students and teachers prior to their final assessments in March. At the end of the day, we saw exhausted, beaming students who couldn’t stop discussing their little adventures.
MaashaAllah, it was a super fun day outing!
